No news at the moment, just rumours!
The main one is the "reconstruction" of the jetty and adjacent waterfront taxi stand. There is an ancient almond tree there, providing shade and a great place to exchange the latest gossip, get on your soapbox, and watch the island go by. The latest rumour is that the almond tree is going to be cut and the beach paved over....
Another one is that there is going to be an incinerator at Park, catering to garbage disposal of the Southern Grenadines. This will affect the owners of properties at Industry, including the Turtle Farm, and the villas at Spring. Worst case it will affect the whole island of Bequia, as they are not going to filter the exhaust fumes. Most people rely on their roofs to catch water.
