FAQ

How do I get here?

Direct:

By far the most convenient way is to fly direct from the USA or Canada to St. Vincent. (SVD). Then to get to the Grenadines: either meet your yacht in St. Vincent or take the ferry over to Bequia. Last ferry departs at 18.00.

Other options:

Convenient:  fly to Barbados (BGI) or St. Lucia (UVF), from there take the one hour flight to Bequia or Union Island. Rate per person including taxes for a one way trip is surprisingly high, often even more than your international flight in $$$$
Slightly cheaper:, you can fly to St.Vincent from Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, Antigua or Puerto Rico and take the ferry from St. Vincent to Bequia. This flight will involve Liat, please do make sure you have at least a bathing suit and other essentials in your carry on luggage.
Ideal: Fly to Grenada, spend some time on that beautiful island, then fly to St. Vincent, take the ferry to Bequia. Spend sometime there and then take a one way trip South on one of our yachts. The sailing trip can be as short as 4 days to make this a very affordable option!

What to do and where to stay:

Once you are in the Grenadines, we would recommend that you stay at least four days in Bequia, where you’ll find nice boutiques,bars/restaurants, excellent diving, great views, lovely beaches and last but not least wonderful people! Prices for Villa rental and hotel accommodations in Bequia range from $30-550 per person per night.
After that we advise you to take a leisurely cruise through the rest of the Grenadines on one of our listed yachts. The best way to do this is to board the yacht in Bequia, take at least four nights on the yacht and disembark in Union Island. This way you get to see the most of the Grenadines. You have made it this far, now you really can’t miss the opportunity to visit the Tobago Cays, Mayreau, PSV, Union Island. Yacht Charters

Does a yacht charter have to be a full week?

Not at all, a yacht charter can be only two days if you want!

When and where does a yacht charter start?

A yacht charter can start any day of the week anywhere in the Grenadines. However, if you don’t have a full week we do recommend taking a one way trip South from St. Vincent or Bequia to Union Island or Carriacou. From Union Island and it is easy to fly back to Barbados, Grenada or St. Lucia to catch your flight back home. There are also very affordable shuttle flights to St. Vincent.  From Carriacou you can fly or take the ferry back to Grenada.

Is the itinerary fixed?

No, when you charter the yacht it is yours, weather permitting! If you like a place a lot, you can choose to stay there as long as you like. One of the most popular spots is the Tobago Cays, only accessible by boat; many people spend more than one night there.

Will there be other people on the boat?

No, when you book the yacht it is yours for the duration of the trip, so it will be you and your family/friends plus the crew.

How much will the additional charges on a yacht charter be?

At the moment there are obligatory mooring fees in Mustique of $80 per night, in St. Vincent of $20 per night, in St. Lucia Pitons of $25 per night. For years now there has been talk of implementing a mooring fee for the Tobago Cays, so far this has not materialized, however, you do pay a $4 per person park fee.
Current cruising tax fees are: In St. Lucia $30, St. Vincent $2 per person per day, and Grenada $50.
Clearance fees are applicable if you leave one country and enter another one. They vary, count on about $50.
Bar and Gratuities are not included in the charter price, bar prices are very reasonable and gratuities are at your discretion.
